Do you feel happy today? I feel happy on most days, but not every day. On those days when I’m not so happy, I usually try to go outside and see what I can see. Somehow I always seem to find something that makes me change my mind about how I feel. Look what I found that made me feel happy today!
So many leaves, each one unique. Leaves come in all shapes, sizes, and at this time of year, all kinds of colors! Some are smooth on the edges, some are spikey. Kind of like people, don’t you think?
What kind of leaves do you have where you live?
Some are big…
Some are small…
Some leaves stay green all winter.
And some leaves change color, many different colors.
So much red!
This one reminds me of the color of a heart.
Some leaves are even shaped like hearts.
These make me think of the story of Rapunzel.
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair!”
And what about feathers, red and gold?
Do these leaves remind you of Flamingos?
Here’s one I really love, a leaf that reminds me how thankful I am for new people in my life, people of all colors, shapes and sizes. People who will grow and learn and ask lots and lots of questions. People who will have many different feelings, each one unique.
So happy to be a grandma.
I hope you have something in your life that makes you feel happy today.
Would you like to tell me about it?
I loved your photos Lorna…they made me yearn for winter to be over. Fall is the time of year I feel most alive. 🙂
Such beautiful grandbabies.

Thanks for stopping by Julie. I love the colors of fall too. Nice to look at those when we are surrounded by a world of white and black! Except for the brilliant blue of the sky now and then and I love when we can see the big blue of our lake. 🙂
